STS-218

Mission Info:

STS-218 delivered two elements to the International Orbiter Space Station, the IOSS Remote Manipulator System (Station Arm), and an adapter for the arm to mate it to the P1 Truss.  The new arm will provide greater ease and flexibility in the installation of new station modules, and will allow for the movement of heavy equipment and experiments outside the station when the space shuttle is not present.
