STS-214

Mission Info:

Discovery's mission for STS-214 was to install the large Nebulus module.  Like previous missions, Nebulus was installed by undocking from the station with PMA2 attached, installing the module with the shuttle arm, and then re-docking.  This mission also marked the last time this delicate procedure was required.  In a few missions after this one, a station arm will be delivered, and the station arm along with the shuttle arm will be available to attach new modules.  Along with providing an attachment point for the truss system, Nebulus contains equipment for the station arm, and will work as support module for experiments outside the station.
